HRK Parent Volunteer Expectations

HRK Eagles is a volunteer, non-profit organization with a governing board.  Each sport is overseen by the HRK Board, an Athletic Director, and the head coaches.  These individuals take on the majority of the tasks that must be completed to run the program. BUT, there are many jobs we NEED you for!  These tasks aren't meant to consume much of your time, but are very helpful to take the load off of those running the program.  

Here is a list of ways that YOU can  be of help.

Social Events:

• End of Season Party - Create sign up for end of season dinner, create email reminders for the event, plan decor, etc

• Senior Night - Help to create posters for the seniors, help with decor on the evening of senior night, etc

• Team Parent - Create social events for your child’s team (after game dinner/ice cream, sleepovers, etc) and create end of season certificates from our pre-designed template

Admission/Concessions/Scoring (These tasks are specific to basketball and volleyball)

• Scorebook - Keep scorebook during games (Does not have to be every game, this task can be shared with other parents)

• Scoreboard - Run scoreboard during games (Does not have to be every game, this task can be shared with other parents)

• Concessions - Run the concession/admission stand for home games. (Does not have to be every game, this task can be shared with other parents)

Tournaments

• Assist with the logistics of away tournaments. (reserve hotel, collect player waivers, food, etc) **Great area for a parent who may be unavailable to come to games!

Photo & Videos

• Photo-While at the game take pics and upload to our Google Photos site.  Assist in taking video of the games, so coaches have game video to analyze and use in teaching skills to players.  

• Video - Create an end of year slideshow to be shown at the End of Season Party.  This may be done on iMovie or on any software you prefer.  **Great area for a parent who may be unavailable to come to games!

• Social Media - Commit to taking pics during games and events and posting on HRK social media.
